Solfeggio frequencies

with Isochronic tones

What are Solfeggio frequencies?

Music is widely accepted as having a profound effect upon us at an emotional, mental and also a physical level. Our cells vibrate at certain frequencies and our bodies hold vibrational states that interact or resonate with the sounds we are exposed to, for better or worse. This may be something you can already identify with.

Solfeggio frequencies refer to specific audio tones that help with and promote various aspects of body and mind health. Reputed to date back to ancient history they are said to be the fundamental sounds used in both Western Christianity and Eastern Indian religions, chanted by the Gregorian Monks and in ancient Indian Sanskrit chants.

Recently, the scientific community has taken greater interest in different types of music and the variety of physical effects they have on the human body. In 1988, a biochemist named Dr Glen Rein made a discovery based around the impact of different music on human DNA. Rein was able to assess the effects of a number of different music types, including Gregorian chants, Sanskrit chants, Classical and Rock music by measuring the rate of UV light absorption. His research supported the theory that sound frequencies do produce serious effects, from positive to negative, on health and well-being

ā€‹

The solfeggio frequencies are believed to be powerful energetic tones and originate from the ancient six-tone scale believed to have incorporated sacred music including the famous and beautiful Gregorian Chants. These tones are found to impart spiritual blessings when they are played harmoniously. Every solfeggio tone comprises frequencies necessary for balancing energy, keeping the spirit, mind, and body in a perfect form of harmony.

ā€‹

There are typically nine Solfeggio frequencies, but the main six are;

  • The 396 Hz for liberating us from fear and guilt

  • The 417 Hz for facilitating change and rebalancing our purpose

  • The 528 Hz for miracles and transformations like DNA repair

  • The 639 Hz for relationships and reconnecting

  • The 741 Hz for removing toxins and negativity

  • The 852 Hz for restoring intuition and connection to our higher spiritual selves

What are Isochronic tones?

Isochronic tones are regular beats of a single tone that are used in the process called brainwave entrainment, itself a metholdology that has ancient origins and recent popularity. At its simplest level, an isochronic tone is an audio tone that is being turned on and off rapidly, creating sharp, distinctive pulses of sound.

These tones can be used in many different ways and for multiple benefits. This may include meditation and sleep, while an increasing number of people are using them to help with studying, to improve focus and concentration.

ā€‹

The process of brainwave entrainment can influence and drive brainwave activity to a more desired mental state.  Entrainment occurs when the brainwave frequency starts to replicate that of the stimulus.  With isochronic tones, the stimulus is in the form of a clear and repetitive beat/tone. It is their pulsing on and off nature that differentiates them from binaural beats which are continuous tones with a different tone played to each ear via headphones.

ā€‹

The repetitive beat produces what is known as an evoked potential, or evoked response in the brain. This is an electrical potential recorded from the nervous system, following the presentation of a stimulus.  These electrical potentials can be seen and recorded using an Electroencephalograph (EEG).

ā€‹

As a real world example, when you are feeling stressed or anxious, your brain will usually be producing an elevated amount of the higher beta brainwave. By stimulating your brain with lower alpha frequencies you can reduce the frequency of your dominant brainwave activity, helping to calm your mind and reduce the feeling of stress.

ā€‹

The five frequencies are:

Gamma (γ)  > 35 Hz      High concentration and recall
Beta (β)    12–35 Hz       Alert, active, external attention, relaxed
Alpha (α)    8–12 Hz       Very relaxed, passive attention
Theta (θ)    4–8 Hz         Deeply relaxed, inward focused
Delta (δ)    0.5–4 Hz       Sleep (Restorative)

Beta Brainwave State

During waking hours, our mind’s predominantly resonate within the Beta state. When you’re awake, alert, focused or concentrating – you’re in Beta. Due to the nature of modern life, Beta waves can also be associated with stress, anxiety and irritability. This is due to the imbalanced lives we live.

ā€‹

Alpha Brainwave State

Alpha waves are associated with calm relaxation, entering meditation, creativity, memory, learning. The mind is quite clear and receptive to information. Many brainwave entrainment audio sessions start in the serene Alpha range before gradually moving down to the lower Theta or even Delta states to achieve a deeper relaxation state.

ā€‹

Theta Brainwave State

The Theta state has the ability to bring deep relaxation including stress relief. Benefits of this state can include improved concentration and memory. Theta can also slow breathing to a restful and healthy level. The mind opens to memories or subconscious information not normally available. Theta brainwaves are also associated with deep meditation, lucid dreaming, sleep induction and creative visualization. Sleep for example is much easier to achieve once in the Theta state.

ā€‹

Delta Brainwave State

The Delta state encourages a state of deep relaxation. It’s associated with the deepest sleep state, and the restoration of mind and body. Delta waves allow even the most restless mind much needed relaxation and restful sleep.

Should I try this?

This collection of music aims to harness the empowering states eminating from the Solfeggio frequencies, whilst activating healing brainwaves from the Isochronic tones. Jointly it can be possible to achieve desired outcomes, overall wellbeing and greatly improve levels of relaxation and sleep.

ā€‹

It is equally possible this music may not work for you, and that you do not derive any benefits. Our early indicators suggest that trying unique combinations of Solfeggio and Isochronic tones can improve aspects of overall wellbeing quite noticeably. The control of the instrument volumes lie in your hands, so if you don't succeed initially, try other combinations of the sounds to see if that may work for you.

What exactly is in this category?

Over time we will be releasing 9 pieces of music on the app, (one for each key Solfeggio frequency). We have a number of tracks live, with the first one totally free. To see it in action start by downloading the app. Each song will have a minimum of 3 instruments. The first instrument will be a soundscape created in the corresponding Hertz. The second instrument will contain some simple musical design 'ornaments', which will enhance the music if required. The third instrument will contain a single Isochronic brainwave tone. It is possible more than one Isochronic tone will be available on some tracks. The isochronic brainwave tones will also be tuned to the corresponding solfeggio frequency for each piece of music, to keep everything in total harmony.
