Your brain doesn’t just list options; it tries to predict what will happen, weighs what’s important, and anticipates consequences. That level of mental multitasking takes real effort, especially when the outcome feels high-stakes.

When you stay in that state too long, imagining all the 'what ifs,' scanning potential problems, and looping on uncertainties, it becomes less about clarity and more about emotional wear-and-tear.
